Intro to Metal Sculpting

$249.00

Get a fast, high-energy introduction to the world of metal sculpture, guided by master sculptor Rich Baker. If you want to try your hand at a unique creative medium without committing a full weekend, this single-day, 5-hour workshop is the perfect fit. It’s an approachable, hands-on experience designed specifically for absolute beginners—no prior experience required.

Learn the Foundations: In a single afternoon, you’ll get safely introduced to the core tools of the trade: MIG welding, plasma cutting, and metal shaping. We cover everything you need to know to use the equipment confidently and safely. Use of all tools and safety gear is included.

Focused & Hands-On: With a small class size (only 4–6 students) and a streamlined timeline, you get direct, one-on-one guidance as you jump straight from safety instructions into working with the metal.

Craft Your Project: Because time is focused, we take the guesswork out of designing. You will be guided step-by-step through creating our woodpecker sculpture—learning the skills as you build, and adding your own unique textures along the way.

One Action-Packed Day: Perfect for busy schedules, day-trippers, or anyone looking for a unique weekend escape. You’ll spend five satisfying hours learning a fascinating new craft, and head home that same afternoon with a finished metal sculpture you built yourself.

Why learn to weld?

Ready to dive into artistic welding—whether for fun, creative release, or the start of something bigger?

When you know how to shape metal, you can build just about anything: a bold sculpture, custom garden art, a one-of-a-kind table—or even a new career.

Welding isn’t just sparks and steel. It’s creativity in motion—hands-on, expressive, and surprisingly meditative. You don’t need to be in a factory or an art school to do this.

In these workshops, you’ll get messy, explore design, learn real skills, and walk away with the confidence to keep going. Small class size, full support, and practical tips—even for setting up at home.

Let’s fire it up.
